SAINT MARTIN DE 4TH STREET, one of the most highly-praised short films on the film festival circuit, will screen by special invitation from “In The Meantime Men’s Group, Inc.” on Tuesday, October 24th @ 7:30pm at the legendary “Jewel’s Catch One,” 4067 W. Pico Blvd. LA, CA 90019.

Sometimes it’s nice to watch films about the whacked out, weird lives of others to help you feel sane again. What’s tougher than being a thirteen year-old boy with a lesbian mother? Fighting with her hot, high-maintenance girlfriend for your mother’s affection. Young Martin may have the gods on his side when he prays to Peruvian Saint Martin de Porres to intercede on his behalf in SAINT MARTIN DE 4TH STREET.

Set in Montebello, California during the year 1980, this real-life drama stars Aubrey Crockett as Martin, a desperate kid in a desperate situation. His mother Lil Guy (Diavanna Zarzuela) has just moved in her new domineering and persuasive girlfriend Maria (Wanda Rovira). As sparks ignite and fists fly, Martin seeks refuge through prayer and the advice of his colorful nino/nina (played by legendary transgender diva Jazzmun).

Combining themes of spirituality, sexuality, gender, race, family, love and acceptance, SAINT MARTIN DE 4TH STREET is unconventional, intriguing and touching with fantastic performances. Receiving well-deserved accolades at film festivals around the world, SAINT MARTIN DE 4TH STREET is a must see.

SAINT MARTIN DE 4TH STREET also stars Cheryl Mendoza, Kristopher Hatfield and Cristina Santana. Written and directed by Robert Banks Ramirez, produced by Carolina Rivas, video graphed & edited by Gil Machado, costumes by Javier Ortega, Jr., make-up by Dominique Allen, hair by Debbie Valdez, and casting by Wheaton James.

In addition, In the Meantime sponsors several annual events that include a men's retreat, Kwanzaa celebration, King Day Celebration and a Men's Conference on Health and Wellness.
