    I think that's totally accurate. I watched the whole series as well, hoping against hope that it would get better. But it was not to be. I mean, they killed off Cassie! The series went down from there.
    
    That said, I do like the character Thelma, played wonderfully by Jemima Rooper. Would like to see more of her work.

      I heard that Thelma was created especially for Jemima Rooper so I wasn't surprised when they killed Cassie off.
      
      Thankfully we'll be seeing Jemima in the forthcoming ITV drama Lost In Austen which finds her traveling through a portal into Pride and Prejudice: www.itv.com/Drama/period.../default.html
