Some on this list are downright terrible. Some, however, are amazing.

Any of you have personal faves from the list? Any that aren't on here that should be?

    As far as lesbian films
I think :Better Than Chocolate sucked!
    Chutney Popcorn was Lame
Girl play was just plain BAD
If These Walls Could Talk 2 : I found some of this to be offensive

I liked : Tipping the Velvet & Fingersmith, I feel it was beter than Bound,
    The Classic "Desert Hearts"
    When Night Is Falling
    D.E.B.S. was kinda cute
I just could not get in the head space to watch: Boys Don't Cry
The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love was kind of cute
Gia: Angelina Jolie Naked , need I say more!
Victor/Victoria: I really like Julie Andrews
    Other Films:

Y Tu Mamá También: Why is it that the boys have to be drunk, to get on, and why is it a woman can't be a sexual person, without something happing to her?

I liked The Crying Game She was hot!
    I loved, loved loved!
    Beautiful Boxer & Transamerica
I thought "Ma Vie en Rose" was sweet
I also liked Soldier's Girl, even though it made me cry.

    Brokeback Mountain was ok
I liked: Beautiful Thing ,The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Maurice
    Big Eden was sweet
I really liked:Die Mommie Die,All About My Mother

But what about : My beautiful launderette, My Own Private Idaho?

And suddenly I'm glad we don't get Logo out there ...

      4. Trick was cute, but it certainly isn't one of the top GLBT movies - much less Number 4!

      10. Someday I'll come to terms that people actually liked Big Eden despite the cliches, bad acting, horrible direction, and the fact that they repeat the one funny joke about thirty times.

so ... no surprises on the list, and everything is safely middle of the road. Like you said, a lot of things on this list are truly awful, and only a small handfule would actually hold up as movies if they weren't about us.

Yea I know Big Eden was all what you said, It could of been the mood I was in at the time.
But I liked the Native Actor.
And Yes I really didn't the ones at the top, should of been there. I just went through the ones there and gave my jaded view.
Hey do you have any gay mens films that you can suggest Kanewai?

Check out the discussion a few topics down, "Best Gay Men's Films." I threw my list there [although now I notice that I included films with gay women ... guess I didn't read the title too well!].

My favorites of the past year [some are older, but they were new to me]: Lola and Billy the Kid, Brokeback Mountain, and Bad Education.

I am so right with you on Big Eden. I have a friend who ranks it as one of their favorite films. I was just groaning whlie I watched it. And while Trick was not a bad film, I would be hard pressed to call it good.

I looked at the Top 10 (I was afraid to go on) and found it a fascinating mix of the intriguing and the banal. No surprise that Brokeback Mountain was #1. But Latter Days at #2??? This was a horrible film! How in god's name did it get on this list, much less at #2???

Beautiful Thing, Bound, and Angels in America... all outstanding films that deserve high ranking on this list.

Okay, I had to look at the next 10. I am incredibly impressed that Aimee & Jaguar came in at #13. I thought this was a great film. And When Night is Falling! Yay... Patricia Rozema is one of my favorite filmmakers, and this fairy tale love story is just gorgeous. I would have had it in my Top 10.

The list seems so random at times. Some need to be way higher on list, some need to be way lower and some need to be obliterated

Ok I have only seen 5 of the top ten

Beautiful Thing (one of my favorite films)
Priscilla Queen of the Desert (fun film but top 10?)
Tipping The Velvet (I really liked this movie, happy it got on the list)
Trick (this is a guilty pleasure movie for me but again, top 10?)
Big Eden ( I dont understand what the BIG deal is about this movie that people seem to love )

          seen 6 of 11-20

Aimee and Jaguar ( I agree with Michael about this movie)
But I'm A Cheerleader ( fun, silly but not list worthy )
Die Mommy DIe ( I love Charles Busch, he can do no wrong )
Better then CHocolate ( mostly fun with some painful moments, not list worthy )
Sum of Us ( I love this movie, I think it should be in the top 10)
Maurice ( I havent seen this since I was in my mid teens, so I cant say for sure, but I know it made a big impression on me so it does need to be on the list some where)

The others on the list I have seen (I really havent seen that many)

The Birdcage _ WHY IS THIS ON THE LIST AT ALL?
Party Monster_Annoying movie. Prefered the documentary

Get Real-I really really liked this movie, wish it wear higher

Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love_Fun, but thats it
          Hedwig and the Angry Inch_Eh
Boys Dont Cry_Should of been higher up on the list
Y Tu Mamá También _ doenst belong on this list, the movie bored the HELL out of me
The Rocky Horror Picture Show _ WOO HOO
Making Love_I remember watching this movie on video when it first came out with my mom and dad.I think i was maybe 12 or 13. 1st time I remember the feelings I was having were had by others. Glad its on the list)
